PRESSURE SHOCK
SUPPRESSION
Severe liquid movement can occur briefly in the pipeline when a valve is closed. This is
recorded by the measuring system. For this reason, the device is equipped with pressure
shock suppression (= time-based signal suppression) which can eliminate "faults"
conditioned by the system.
!
Note!
Low flow cutoff must be activated for pressure shock suppression to be used (see ON-
VALUE LOW FLOW CUTOFF function on
Use this function to determine the time span of the active pressure shock suppression.
Activating pressure shock suppression
Pressure shock suppression is activated once the flow undershoots the on-value of the
low flow cutoff (see graphic, point
a
).
The following applies when activating pressure shock suppression:
• Pulse output
does not output any more pulses
Deactivating pressure shock suppression
Pressure shock suppression is inactive once the time specified in this function has
expired (see graphic, point
b
).
!
Note!
The current flow value is not processed and displayed again until the specified time for
pressure shock suppression has expired and the flow has exceeded the off-value for low
flow cutoff (see graphic, point
c
).
