Safety instructions
Safe operation of the ASP Inline assembly is only guaranteed if these Operating Instructions have
been read and the safety instructions have been observed.
1.1
Designated use
The ASP Inline assembly is a device for the automatic sampling of liquids from pressurised lines with
an operating pressure of up to 6 bar. Equal sample volumes of 5 or 50 ml are always taken,
depending on the assembly version.
– The assembly must not be installed in hazardous areas.
– The manufacturer does not accept liability for damage caused by improper or non-designated use.
The assembly must not be converted or modified.
– The ASP Inline assembly is designed for use in an industrial environment and must only be
operated once it has been fully installed i. e. when the protective cover has been mounted.
1.2
Installation, commissioning and operation
This assembly is built according to state-of-the-art technology. However, if the assembly is used
improperly or for any other than the intended use, it can present an application-related danger.
Installation, wiring, commissioning and maintenance of the assembly must only be carried out by
trained technical personnel. Technical personnel must have read and understood these operating
instructions and must adhere to them. The specifications for the electrical wiring diagrams (see
chapter 4 "Wiring") must be observed closely.

Warning!
• If you open the assembly's cover to perform maintenance work whilst the assembly is in
operation, there is a risk of injury to your hands.
• Ensure that the assembly is disconnected from the compressed air supply before you open the
cover.
• Secure the opened assembly against unintentional start-up whilst you carry out work on it.
1.3
Operational safety
The assembly meets the general safety requirements in accordance with EN 61010-1.
Technical improvement
The manufacturer reserves the right to adapt technical details to the most up-to-date technical
developments without any special announcement. Contact your local sales centre for information
about the current state of and possible extensions to the operating instructions.
1.4
Return
The following measures should be taken before sending the device back to Hauser, for
example for repair:
• Always enclose a fully-completed "Dangerous Goods Sheet" with the assembly. Only then can
Hauser transport, test or repair a returned device.
• If necessary, include special handling regulations with the returned product, e.g. a safety
datasheet in accordance with EN 91/155/EEC.
• Remove all signs of fluids. Pay special attention to the grooves for seals and crevices which could
contain residues. This is particularly important if the substance is hazardous to health, e.g.
flammable, toxic, caustic, carcinogenic, etc.
!
Note!
A
master copy
of the ’Dangerous Goods Sheet’ can be found at the end of these Operating
Instructions.
