8.7.2

Detector Assembly

Vent the vacuum.

Turn off the instrument power.

Remove the front cover.

Disconnect the HV detector supply loom, located below the
Discriminator/Attenuator as a twist lock connection.

Disconnect the serial cable which interfaces with the attenuator on the bottom

side and the P3 & P4 cables from the top.

Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the side of the discriminator.

Remove the four M5 screws from the Detector Mounting plate to release it from

VC3. There are guides fitted on both sides of VC3 to help with removal and to
prevent any damage to the detector assembly as it is being removed.
