Some operating equipment (e.g. mains adapters, servo controllers,
inverters) with intermediate electrical circuit can still store hazard-
ous residual voltages for a certain time after disconnection from
the power supply. Before beginning with the work on these sys-
tems, it must be checked for the absence of voltage.
2.6 Operating materials and supplies

The information on the safety datasheets of the manufacturer must
be observed.

Contact with the eyes or skin must be avoided.
−
Inhaling vapours or mists must be avoided.
−
Spilled or leaked operating media and auxiliary supplies must be
absorbed immediately using a binding agent and be disposed of.

Containers with flammable materials and compressed, liquefied
gases must be kept away from heat sources.
2.7 Alterations
Modifications, extensions and alterations of ELDRO
®
components
that might compromise safety or function may not be made without
the written approval from the manufacturer.
2.8 Spare and wear parts
The use of spare and wear parts of third party manufacturers can en-
tail risks. Only original parts or spare and wear parts approved by the
manufacturer may be used.
