6.2 Service
The Rosemount 2240S Multi-input Temperature Transmitter has no moving parts and requires a minimal
amount of scheduled hardware maintenance. In case of a malfunction, check for an external cause and
use the diagnostics presented below.
6.2.1 Viewing input and holding registers
Transmitter data is stored in Input Registers. By viewing the contents of the input registers, advanced
users can check that the Rosemount 2240S works properly.
The Holding Registers store various parameters such as configuration data used to control measurement
performance
. By using the TankMaster WinSetup configuration tool, most Holding Registers can be
edited simply by typing a new value in the appropriate value input field.
To view Input or Holding Registers for a Rosemount 2240S, do the following:
1. Start the TankMaster WinSetup program.
2. In the TankMaster WinSetup workspace click the right mouse button on the ATD device icon.
3. Choose the View Input Registers or View Holding Registers option, or from the Service menu
choose Devices>View Input Registers / View Holding Registers .
