Section 3:

Configuring the IOLM with PAC

Machine Edition

3.1

Overview

PROFINET IO configuration procedures vary between software versions but the following configuration
steps are required in all cases. Refer to your PAC Machine Edition documentation if you require step-
by-step procedures.

Download, unzip, and upload the GSD file for the IO-Link Master (IOLM) (Section 3.2)

Insert the IOLM in the PROFINET IO system (Section 3.3)

Configure the IP address for the IOLM (Section 3.4)

Assign the PROFINET Device Nam (Section 3.5)

Set the IO Device Update Time (Section 3.6)

Configure the IO-Link port (Section 3.7)

Configure IO-Link port modules.

Configure port status modules.

If desired, configure data storage, automatic or manual - upload or download.

If desired, configure device validation and data validation.

Configure EPXPNS001/EPXPNS101modules. (See Section 8.2 in GFK-2958, PACSystems RSTi-
EP User Manual.) (If desired or required.)

Use Section 11:

Modbus/TCP Interface to complete configuration after attaching the IO-Link

devices.
