General Installation

The installation of an option module is illustrated in Figure 3-1.

3.1.1

Installing the first option module

Option module slots must be used in the following order: slot 3, slot 2 and slot 1.

•

Align the option module above the drive as shown

•

Insert the option module tab into the slot on the drive

•

Press down on the option module until it clicks into place

Before installing or removing an option module from any drive, ensure the AC supply
has been disconnected for at least 10 minutes and refer to

Chapter 1 Safety

information

on page 5

If using a DC bus supply ensure this is fully discharged before

working on any drive or option module.
