2.) Connect a fresh 9-Volt alkaline battery to the battery terminal in the battery
compartment. It can only be connected one way.
3.) Replace the battery door.
If the power is interrupted the display will go ‘Off’ and the radio will not work. However
the battery will maintain the clock and alarm settings in memory. When the power
is restored the display will come on again and the clock and alarm settings will be
correct.
The life of the back up battery will depend on the frequency and length of the
power interruptions that you experience.
For best results we suggest you install a fresh battery every 9 to 12 months. Always
use a well-known brand of alkaline battery.
