5. Type a name for the new zone into the Zone Name field.
6. Click Add by World Wide Name (default) or Add by port
number to set the display in the Attached ports/nodes section of
the dialog box. These options act as follows:
• Add by World Wide Name button — Displays the port
numbers and the WWNs of any attached nodes under each
domain ID (as shown in Figure 4-4). Dragging port numbers
to the Members in zone section pastes the node’s WWN into
that section.
An effort to achieve industry standard compatibility for zoning has
recommended that zone set names and zone names use the following
conventions for naming:
A name can be up to 64 characters long.
A name must begin with a letter: a through z or A through Z.
A name can include any or all of these characters:
0
through 9
$ - ^
A name cannot include spaces and periods.
