Returns / RMA
The following procedures must be carried out before a flow meter is returned e.g. for repair
or calibration:
Please request an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number and enclose a
detailed description of the error or problem and name and telephone number/e-mail
address of the contact partner.
Always enclose a fully completed “Declaration of contamination” form. Only then
can transport, examine and repair a returned device.
o
Please note: a copy of the “Declaration of Contamination” can be found in
chapter
Enclose special handling instructions if necessary, for example a safety data sheet as
per EN 91/155/EEC.
Remove all fluid residues. Pay special attention to the grooves for seals and crevices
which could contain fluid residues. This is particularly important if the fluid is
hazardous to health, e.g. flammable, toxic, caustic, and carcinogenic, etc.
Do not return a device if you are not absolutely certain that all traces of
hazardous substances have been removed, e.g. substances which have
penetrated crevices or diffused through plastic.
Costs incurred for waste disposal and injury (caustic burns, etc.) due to inadequate
cleaning will be charged to the owner/operator.
