ever hold the appliance by the toast slots.
These become very hot when the appliance is in use.

Bread can burn. Never use the toaster near or underneath curtains or other
flammable materials.

Never put baked goods that are too large for the toaster
, nor bread wrapped in aluminium or plastic foil into the
toaster

BEFORE FIRST USE
•
Remove all packaging materials.
•
There may be a slight smell and some smoke the first time the appliance is used.
This is normal and does not
last long. Make sure there is suf
ficient ventilation.

Before using the toaster
, run it once without bread on the hottest heat setting.
Then it is ready for normal use.

Insert the plug into an appropriate socket.

Y
ou can set the browning level with the infinitely variable temperature control.
•
Recommended settings:
1, 2 for thin slices of bread
3, 4 for normal slices of bread
5, 6 for frozen bread

lace the slice of bread in the toast slot.
•
Press the ON lever down until it locks.
This starts the toasting process.
•
As soon as the required browning level has been reached the toast slices will pop up automatically and the
built-in automatic shutof
f switches the appliance of
f.
•
Please note that the ON lever will only lock when the appliance is plugged into the mains.
•
Press the ST

button to stop or interrupt the toasting cycle before it is complete.

Y
ou can warm up thick slices of bread, rolls or croissants with the bun warmer
.
•
F
old the two carriages upwards and fix them by sliding the plastic latch towards the toasting slots.
•
Set the temperature control to a medium setting, lay the baked goods on the top of the roll warmer and turn on
the toaster as described above.
•
A
fter the toaster automatically switches of
f, turn the rolls over and switch the toaster on again.
•
Do not touch the frame during toasting, because it becomes very hot.
•
Slide the latch back to release the carriages.
•
CAUTION:
do not lay baked goods directly on top of the toast slot.

Frozen, dry and fresh bread all require dif
ferent toasting times.
•
If only one toast slot is used, turn the browning control to a lower temperature than you would set if both slots
were in use to achieve the same degree of browning.

ake sure that the toast slices are not too thick so that they do not get stuck between the heating elements.

. If this happens disconnect the
AC plug from the mains
supply and leave the appliance to cool down completely

Then carefully release the trapped bread with a blunt wooden object (eg the handle of a small brush).

ake care that the heating elements and the lever mechanism do not become damaged.
