6.2.1 Checking Device Settings
The legally relevant parameters can be checked in special device displays
(
see part 1 of FC1 manual). The enSuite software will allow you to carry
out a complete check of the current device parametrization when the soft-
ware has an online connection to the device.
6.2.2 Checking Measurement Input Values
Input measurements, in particular input values for flow conversion
(measurement data from gas meters, pressure transmitters, temperature
transmitters and, if applicable, gas composition measurement devices) can
be checked on the device display (
refer to volume “Use in Legal
Metrology” of the FC1 manual).
6.2.3 Checking Output Signals
Parameterized output signals can be measured using appropriate measure-
ment devices and checked in that way.
6.2.4 Checking Digital Communication (Modbus, etc.)
Appropriate tools (e.g. a protocol analyzer) can be used to check digital
communication.
6.2.5 Checking Measurements and Calculations
A final check of the accuracy of measurement results and calculations must
be executed when the device is used within the scope of legal metrology. A
metrology expert is required for this process, and the applicable legal regu-
lations must be observed.
6.2.6 Sealing (if necessary)
It may be necessary for the device as well as sensor and signal lines to be
sealed by a metrology expert when it is used within the scope of legal metro-
logy. The conditions of the applicable authorization must be observed in this
case.
