detector! Read these instruc ons carefully and store them in a safe
place for future usage.
WARNINGS
* The installa on of a CO-detector should not be used as a subs tute
for proper installa on, use and maintenance of fuel burning
appliances including appropriate ven la on and exhaust systems.
* Risk of electric shock or malfunc on if the apparatus is
tampered with.
* The following substances can affect the sensor and may cause false
alarms: methane, propane, isobutene, isopropanol, ethylene,
benzene, toluene, ethyl acetate, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxides,
alcohol based products, paints, thinner, solvents, adhesives, hair
sprays, a er shaves ,perfumes and some cleaning agents.
* To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely a ached to the
wall in accordance with the installa on instruc ons.
* Apparatus should be installed by a competent person.
* Ba eries should not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunshine
or fire.

Ac vate your carbon monoxide detector
The detector contains a sealed ba ery with a life me of 10 years and
will be ac vated automa cally when the alarm is a ached to the wall
for the first me. A er ac va on, all three LED’s will light up and a beep
will sound. The green LED will flash every 3 seconds for 30 seconds to
indicate that the device is in the prepara on state. A er this, the green
LED will flash every 30 seconds to indicate that the device is func oning
properly.
Locate your detector
Poten al sources of carbon monoxide are: wood-burning stoves, gas
boilers and fires, gas hobs, oil and coal burning appliances, portable gas
heaters, barbecues etc.
Where to install an detector
* Ideally: in every room containing a fuel-burning appliance and
addi onal apparatuses:
- In every bedroom
- In every room where much me is spent and the alarm sound from
other apparatuses may not be heard
* If the number of available apparatuses is limited, then choose
for the room where:
- A flueless or open-flued appliance is located
- Where you spend the most me
* In case of bedsit (single room serving as both si ng room and
bedroom): locate the apparatus as far as possible from the cooking
appliances and near the sleeping area.
* In rooms with a fuel-burning appliance:
- Between 1-3 m distance away from the poten al source
- If there is a par
on in the room: at the same side of the par
on
as the poten al source
- Always on the wall:
1. Close to the ceiling, but at least 150 mm from the ceiling
2. Higher than the height of any door/window
* In rooms without a fuel-burning appliance (such as sleeping
rooms/hall ways:
- Rela vely close to the breathing zones of occupants
Where not to install an detector
* In an enclosed space (in a cupboard/behind a curtain)
* Where it can obstructed (by for example furniture)
* Directly above a sink
* Next to door/window
* Next to an extractor fan
* Next to an air vent / similar ven la on openings
* In areas where temperature get <-10 / >40 degrees
* In areas where dirt/dust may block the sensor
* In a damp/humid loca on
* In the immediate vicinity of cooking appliance
* On a loca on where light indicator may not be visible anymore
Mount the detector
1. Drill a holes in the wall of 5 mm and insert the plas c plug.
2. Insert the screw un l it is about 5 mm from the wall
3. Place the unit over the screw
4. Test the alarm by using the test bu on
A en on!
The detector will be ac vated automa cally when the alarm is
a ached to the wall. The detector remains ac vated even if you
remove it from the wall.
Alarm silence mode
Before mu ng an alarm, always make sure the alarm the alarm is false.
In case of doubt, take the necessary ac on! To mute the alarm, press
the test bu on. The alarm will pause for 5 minutes while the alarm
indicator keeps flashing. The alarm will return to alarm mode if the
concentra on CO is s ll >45 ppm.
Low ba ery silence mode
To mute the low ba er warning, press the test bu on. The device will
enter the silence mode for 9 hours. Make sure to replace the device as
soon as possible when you hear the low-ba ery warning
What to do if carbon monoxide is detected?
If the carbon monoxide detector gives alarm, please take the following
ac ons:
* Keep calm and open all doors and windows. Stop using fuel-burning
appliances and turn them off;
* If the alarm con nues, evacuate the building. Leave all doors and
windows open, and do not enter before the alarm has stopped;
* Get medical help for anyone who is suffering the effects of carbon
monoxide poisoning;
* Contact the appropriate maintenance agency. Do not use fuel-
burning appliances un l they are checked by a competent person.
Maintenance
* Test
- Every month by pressing the test bu on for 0.2 seconds.
If the device func ons properly, the red LED-light will flash four
mes and it will beep simultaneously. If you do not hear a beep or
see a light a er the test, the device is not func oning correctly and
should be replaced as soon as possible!
* Ba ery
- If the ba ery is low running low this the yellow LED will flash 2x
every 30 seconds and a beep will sound twice every 30 seconds.
This device contains a sealed Lithium-Ion ba ery that cannot be
replaced. When this occurs, please deac vate the device (see
paragraph)
* Clean
- Once a month: remove the device from the wall and dust it with a
so brush or cloth. A er cleaning, always test device by pressing
the test bu on.
Deac vate alarm
WARNING: Deac va on of the alarm is permanent and cannot be
undone. To deac vate the alarm:
1. Remove the alarm from the screws on the wall
2. Remove or break through the label and take out the pin
3. Push the pin into the hole
The effects of Carbon Monoxide
Carbon monoxide is colorless, odorless, non-irrita ng gas which is
classified as a chemical asphyxiant, whose toxic ac on is a direct result
of the hypoxia produced by a given exposure.

dieses Benutzerhandbuch sorgfäl g und heben Sie es an einem sicheren
Ort für späteren Gebrauch auf.
WARNHINWEISE
* Die Installa on eines Kohlenmonoxid Melder sollte nicht als Ersatz für
eine sorgfäl ge Installa on, Gebrauch und Wartung von
brennstoffnutzenden Geräten, mit inbegriffen ausreichender
Belü ung und Schadstoffableitung.
* Risiko eines elektrischen Schocks besteht, wenn Sie das Gerät
modifizieren.
* Die folgenden Substanzen können den Melder beeinflussen und ihn
fälschlicherweise auslösen: Methan, Propan, Isobutan, Isopropanol,
Ethylen, Benzol, Toluol, Ethylacetat, Schwefelwasserstoff,

Ihren Kohlenmonoxid-Detektor ak vieren
Der Detektor enthält eine umschlossene Ba erie mit einer Lebensdauer
von 10 Jahren, die automa sch ak viert wird, wenn der Melder zum
ersten Mal an der Mauer befes gt wird. Nach der Ak va on blinken alle
LED Lampen und ein Piepen ertönt. Während den nächsten 30
Sekunden blinkt die grüne LED Lampe jede 3 Sekunden um anzugeben,
dass sich das Gerät im Vorbereitungsmodus befindet. Danach blinkt die
grüne LED jede 30 Sekunden um anzugeben, dass das Gerät korrekt
funk oniert.
Ihren Melder an der rich gen Stelle anbringen
Potenzielle Kohlenmonoxid quellen sind: Holzöfen, Gas Boiler und
Feuer, Gasherd, Öl und Kohle verbrennende Geräte, tragbare
Gaskocher, Grill etc.
Wo soll man den Melder anbringen?
* Idealerweise: in jedem Raum der ein brennstoffnutzendes Gerät
enthält und zusätzliche Melder:
- In jedem Schlafzimmer
- In jeden Raum der viel genutzt wird und in dem man andere
Melder nicht hören kann
* Wenn die Anzahl der verfügbaren Geräte eingeschränkt ist, wählen
Sie die Räume wo:
- Ein Gerät ohne Abzug oder offenes Gerät steht
- Wo Sie die meiste Zeit verbringen
* Im Falle einer Ein-Zimmer-Wohnung: Bringen Sie den Melder soweit
wie möglich von dem Herd an und näher zum Schlafplatz
* In Räumen mit einem brennstoffnutzenden Gerät:
- Zwischen 1m und 3m en ernt von der poten ellen Quelle
- Wenn der Raum unterteilt ist: Befes gen Sie den Melder im
gleichen Teil des Raumes als die potenzielle Quelle.
- An der Mauer:
1. Nahe zur Decke, aber mindestens 150mm von ihr en ernt
2. Höher als die Höhe jedes/r Fensters/Tür
* In Räumen ohne ein brennstoffnutzendes Gerät (so wie
Schlafzimmer/Flur):
- So nahe wie möglich an den Atemzonen der Bewohner
Wo soll man den Melder nicht anbringen?
* An einer umschlossenen Stelle (Schrank/hinter dem Vorhang).
* Wo es gestört werden kann (z.B.: durch Möbel).
* Direkt über einem Wasch-becken.
* Neben einer/m Tür/Fenster.
* Neben einer Abzugshaube.
* Neben einem/r Lu auslass / ähnlicher Lü ungsöffnung.
* An Stellen an der die Temperatur < -10°C und > 40°C erreichen kann.
* An Plätzen an den Dreck/Staub den Melder blockieren können.
* An einer duns gen/ feuchten Stelle.
* In direkter Umgebung eines Kochgerätes.
* An einer Stelle an der man die Lampen nicht mehr sehen kann.
Den Melder mon eren
1. Bohren Sie 2, 5mm Löcher in die Wand und fügen Sie die Dübel ein.
2. Drehen Sie die Schrauben ein bis Sie 5mm von der Wand abstehen.
3. Befes gen Sie den Melder an den Schrauben.
4. Testen Sie den Alarm mit der Test-Taste
Warnung!
Der Melder wird automa sch ak viert, wenn der Alarm an der Wand
ausgelöst wird. Der Detektor bleibt ak viert, auch wenn Sie ihn von der
Wand en ernen.
Alarm stumm Schalten
Bevor Sie den Alarm stumm schalten, gehen Sie sicher, dass es sich um
einen falschen Alarm handelt. Wenn Sie Zweifel haben, reagieren Sie
bi e wie es erfordert wird. Um den Alarm auf stumm zu schalten,
drücken Sie den Testknopf. Der Alarm pausiert für 5 Minuten, während
der Alarm Indikator weiter blinkt. Der Alarm wird erneut ausgelöst,
wenn die CO-Konzentra on immer noch bei >45ppm liegt.
Niedriger Ba eries llmodus
Drücken Sie die Tes aste, um die Warnung für niedrigen Ba eriestand
stumm zu schalten. Das Gerät wechselt für 9 Stunden in den
Ruhemodus. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie das Gerät so bald wie möglich
ersetzen, wenn Sie die Warnung bei niedrigem Ba eriestand hören.
Wie reagieren, wenn Kohlenmonoxid erkannt wird?
Wenn der Kohlenstoffmonoxid Melder einen Alarm auslöst, nehmen Sie
bi e folgende Maßnahmen:
* Bleiben zu ruhig und öffnen Sie alle Fenster und Türen. Hören Sie auf
brennstoffnutzende Geräte zu verwenden und schalten Sie diese aus.
* Wenn der Alarm nicht au ört, verlassen Sie das Gebäude. Lassen Sie
alle Fenster und Türen auf und betreten Sie das Gebäude nicht bevor
der Alarm aufgehört hat.
* Suchen Sie medizinische Hilfe für jeden auf, der mögliche Symptome
einer Kohlenmonoxidvergi ung aufweist
* Kontak eren Sie eine Wartungsfirma. Benutzen Sie keine
brennstoffnutzenden Geräte bevor diese von einer kompetenten
Person kontrolliert wurden.
Wartung
* Test
- Einmal pro Monat indem Sie den Testknopf für 0.2 Sekunden
drücken. Wenn das Gerät rich g funk oniert, blinkt die rote LED 4-
mal und wird von einem piepen begleitet. Wenn Sie kein Licht
sehen und kein piepen hören funk oniert das Gerät nicht mehr
rich g und es sollte somit so schnell wie möglich ersetzt werden.
* Ba erie
- Wenn die Ba erie zu schwach wird, leuchtet die gelbe LED 2 x jede
30 Sekunden und ein Piepen ertönt 2 Mal jede 30 Sekunden. Das
Gerät enthält eine umschlossene Lithium-Ba erie, die nicht ersetzt
werden kann. Wenn dies passiert, deak vieren Sie bi e das Gerät
(siehe Paragraph).
* Säubern
- Einmal im Monat: en ernen Sie das Gerät von der Mauer und
stauben Sie es mit einer weichen Bürste oder einem Tuch ab. Nach
dem säubern, testen Sie das Gerät indem Sie den Testknopf
drücken.
Alarm deak vieren
WARNUNG:
Die Deak vierung des Alarms ist permanent und kann nicht
rückgängig gemacht werden. Um den Alarm zu deak vieren:
1. Nehmen Sie den Alarm von den Schrauben an der Mauer ab.
2. En ernen oder brechen Sie durch das E ke und nehmen
Sie die Nadel heraus.
3. Drücken Sie die Nadel durch das Loch.
Die Effekte von Kohlenmonoxid
Kohlenmonoxid ist ein farbloses, geruchloses und nicht-reizendes Gas
das als chemische ers ckende Substanz klassifiziert wird, dessen
Toxische Wirkung sich in Form eines Ers ckens durch direktes Einatmen
