GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug.
(2 blades and 1 pin) If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet
contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use
an adaptor.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
2. Remove all packaging.
3. Install the Filter. (See Care and Cleaning section)
4. Water boiled for the first time should be discarded.
HOW TO USE
1. Install the Filter, if not already in place.
2. Remove Lid and fill Kettle through the Lid opening, with a minimum
of .8 litres of water (see MIN marking on the water level window).
NOTE: The Kettle cannot be filled to the maximum level unless
the Filter is in place. DO NOT
attempt to fill the Kettle while it is on
the Power Base.
DO NOT
use for other than boiling water. Other liquids
will contaminate the interior of the Kettle.
DO NOT
fill past the MAX
level indicated on the Water Level Window. Overfilling may cause water
to spill out when boiling.
3. Replace Lid. Note: The Lid should only be removed or replaced when
Kettle is cold.
4. Place Kettle on the Base making sure it is correctly engaged on its base.
5. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet. Note: Never plug
power base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.
6. Depress the On/Off Switch and the Indicator Light will light up to indicate
that the Kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the water has boiled, the On/Off
Switch will raise to the 'Off' position and the Indicator Light will go out.
