1. MEMORY:
Insert Compact Flash memory card into the slot under the rubber cover on
top of the camera.
2. POWER:
Insert a charged battery into the battery bay on the bottom of the camera.
3. START:
Push and hold (for one second) the
Power Button
on the top of the camera.
The touch screen display will turn on and the camera will go through a series of
boot up and self test procedures.
If the lens is in the parked position (rotated and covered) a screen will tell you to
rotate the lens to resume video
You should now see real time video image in the default “Start-up Screen”
display.
NOTE:
The entire display is a touch screen, buttons and menu items can be activated by
touching or tapping with either the provided stylus or your finger.
4. FOCUS:
(motor driven) From the default start-up screen move the
yellow
Joystick Button
up and down with your thumb.
In this mode moving the joystick left or right will operate the digital zoom function.
5. AUTO ADJUST:
(Level and Span) When
shows in the center position, level and span automatically
adjust based on the objects viewed.
6. MANUAL ADJUST:
(Level and Span) From the default screen tap the
button. The lower menu will change to .
The
Joystick Button
will now manually control Level (up and down) and Span (left and right).
Pressing the center of the
Joystick Button
will auto adjust the image Level and Span.
To return to joystick focus: Tap the button. The lower bar will change to
and the
Joystick Button
will once again control focus as before.
Now taping between the button and button with your finger or stylus will toggle the function of
the
Joystick Button
between Level/Span and Focus.
7. PAUSE IMAGE:
Pause or Freeze the image by momentarily pressing the front
Trigger Button
. (If
this is not an image you desire to save, abort the save by pressing the trigger button again and
return to a live image).
