This product is intended for connection and use with a Bluetooth-capable device. Pairing
registration must be performed before using this product with the intended device
(smartphone/audio player, etc.).
The included USB charging cable is meant for use with this product ONLY. Do not use
this cable for any purpose other than charging this product. Although the connector type
may be the same, differences in electrical poles and output may cause damage. Similarly,
do not use the charging cable included with another product to charge this product.
To charge the product, connect the included USB cable to a commercially available USB-AC
adapter, or to the USB power source of a PC that is conducting electrical power.
Allow approx. two hours for charging to complete. If the LED lamp has not turned
off after two hours, immediately disconnect the charging cable and stop charging.
Charging for more than two hours can shorten the battery life and may lead to
device failure.
Pairing (Registering with the device)
In order to use this product with a portable audio player or mobile phone, the device must be
registered for pairing (an initial registration process with the device). Please refer to the manual
included with your mobile device for information regarding the operation of that device.
If your device is already paired (registered), all you have to do is turn it on, after that it is hands-free.
When power is turned ON, the device reconnects automatically. If reconnection does not occur
automatically, perform a connection from either the headset or the connecting device.
With the power turned OFF, push and hold the Multi-function button for at
least 8 seconds. The LED lamp begins to blink red and blue.
Continue holding down the button, and within the
next 5 seconds the LED lamp displays as follows:
Search for the headset from the device with which you wish to pair (mobile
phone, audio player, etc.).
When your mobile phone or portable audio player locates the main unit, the device
name [LBT-NB02] will appear at the top of the search results screen. Select and
register this device.
If a message appears prompting you to enter a link key, enter [0000] (four zeros).
* With a Bluetooth 2.1 device, it may be possible to complete registration without the
need to enter a link key.
The LED lamp will blink blue in a loose pattern when pairing is completed. (Refer
to the function list for this product for information about the blinking pattern.)
Up to eight sets of pairing information can be stored. Registering a ninth set of pairing
information will cause the current oldest set to be automatically deleted. If reconnecting to a
device which was erased from the memory, pairing must be performed again.
A mobile phone must be equipped with a Bluetooth Audio/Video Remote Control Profile
(A2DP) to be used as an audio player with this headset.
If pairing fails due to a setting in the destination device, etc., immediately reset the power
and try again.
This product conforms to Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR standards. It may be possible to bypass link
key entry when connecting to another Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR device.
Press and hold the Multi-function button until the LED lamp blinks blue several times
(approx. 5 sec.).
With the power turned ON, press and hold the Multi-function button for at least 5 seconds.
The LED lamp will blink red then turn off, indicating that the device power is now OFF.
The headset will automatically connect to any devices in range on which pairing has already
been performed. If the reconnect does not occur automatically, press the Multi-function
button on the headset once or twice, confirm settings on the destination device (mobile
phone, etc.) and attempt to perform a connection from the device. If you still cannot
reconnect, perform the pairing operation again. If a paired device cannot be found and
connection is not established, the LED lamp will continue to blink blue once every 3 seconds.
You may need to approve or authenticate the headset connection (device name
LBT-NB02) or perform a [Connection] procedure from the mobile device.
If no pairing device is found when turning the power ON after it has been off, or after a
connected device has lost its connection, the LED will blink red after approx. 5 minutes and
the device will automatically turn off.
When this headset is connected to a mobile phone or portable audio player with A2DP
support, you can listen to audio played from that device on this headset.
Also, when connected to a device with AVRCP (remote control capability), the device can be
controlled remotely by this headset.
The remote control functions may vary depending on the device connected and the audio
player application being used, and in some cases may not work.
Phone conversation can be performed through the microphone on the headset when
connected to a smartphone or mobile phone with HFP/HSP capability. This product is
equipped with a microphone located on the right side front of the headset.
The following functions can only be used when Head-Set Profile (HSP) or
Hands-Free Profile (HFP) pairing has been performed.
Depending on the device specifications, your mobile phone may behave in a different
manner than described in relation to the operation of this product. Please refer to the
manual of your mobile phone.
When a call is received, you will hear a ringtone. If music is playing at this time, it will be
interrupted. Press the Multi-function button to answer the call and begin talking.
* Depending on the device specifications, ringtones may not be heard on the Bluetooth
headset.
To place an arbitrary call, switch the sound output setting after dialling the recipient number.
When performing voice conversation on a PC, control conversation start/end on the PC side. Please
refer to the manual for the software or OS which you are using for information on how to start/end a
voice call on your PC. For detailed information, please refer to the online help of the software or OS
which you are using.
