The safety valve, if necessary, also serves to drain water from the water tank. This is done as follows:
The indoor unit is switched off from the electric grid by means of the auxiliary device and, for
safety reasons, the electric fuse in the phase circuit to the water heater is switched off.
Cold water supply to the appliance is stopped - close the crane (4 of Figure 12).
Open the hot water tap of the mixing cock or disconnect the hot water pipe (outlet pipe) of the
water heater.
Lift the combined valve lever (5 in Figure 12) and wait until no more water leaks out of the
valve opening.
These actions do not ensure the complete emptying of water from the water tank. This is performed
only by a specialist because it involves disconnecting the electrical circuit of the appliance and
removing the flange of the water tank.
WARNING
! IT IS STRUCTLY FORBIDDEN to turn on the power supply of the indoor unit while
the water tank is partially or completely emptied of the water! Before recommissioning the
APPLIANCE, remember to fill the water tank first.
WARNING
! It is forbidden to circulate the heat carrier through the heat exchanger of the indoor
unit with partially or completely emptied water tank.
WARNING
! When draining water from the water tank, it is necessary to take all necessary
measures to prevent damage from drained water.
CONNECTION OF THE INDOOR UNIT WITH HEAT EXCHANGER TO THE
INSTALLATION OF THE ADDITIONAL HEAT SOURCE
The indoor unit with a heat exchanger is connected to the alternative heat source while fulfilling all
the requirements of the special additional instructions provided by the company that has designed the
project for installation and connecting the indoor unit. It is imperative to install all equipment, provided
and / or recommended by it, in regard to safety, control and controlling the movement of the heat
carrier.
WARNING
! It is forbidden to install shut-off valves simultaneously at both ends (the inlet and
outlet) of the heat exchanger. In the event that the indoor unit heat exchanger would not be
used temporarily and is not connected to the heat source installation, it should be filled with
propylene glycol solution suitable for heating systems.
The connection of an indoor unit with a heat exchanger to the additional heat source is performed
only by qualified technicians from a specialized company in accordance with the project developed by
it.
CONNECTION TO THE POWER SUPPLY INSTALLATION
WARNING
! Do not connect the indoor unit to the power supply system before making sure that
the water tank is full of water! Check it out!
The indoor unit is an appliance with a degree of protection against damage from electrical current
“Class I”, which requires its compulsory connection to the earthing circuit of the electrical installation.
The power supply to the indoor unit is 230 V ~ and is carried out by means of a separate circuit with a
three-core insulated cable with a cross-section of each wire 2.5 mm
2
(phase, neutral and protective).
If the cable from the electrical installation of the room is two-core, a specialist must install an
additional protective conductor, which should not be cut off anywhere from the electrical board to the
water heater. If the protective conductor/wire has intermediate connections, the latter must be reliably
secured against self-loosening. Otherwise, the appliance will not be properly secured, which will
reduce its safety
