2 Installation

2.3 Fixing the device
The FOS 100w has been designed for in-house use in closed rooms and shall be latched onto
the connected PI box that has been mounted on the wall before. First remove the dust-
protective cover from the fiber connectors both at the PI box and the FOS 100w.
In order to protect your eyes from irreparable damage, do never look directly or
indirectly (e.g. via mirror) into the laser beam, i.e. at the edge of the fiber cable or
the related connector.
Do never touch the open ends of the optical fiber connector, otherwise they could
be damaged.
