4.8 NiCd battery replacement
1. Switch the cash register off (the external adapter can be left connected).
2. Pull the middle cover out and then separate the front cover from the undercover (chapter 4.1).
3. Disconnected all the connectors from the mainboard of the electronics.
4. Loosen the mainboard of the electronics from the front cover.
5. Solder off the NiCd battery and replace it with a new one. Beware of polarity solder in the battery connector
marked with + to the BT1 place marked with +.
6. Fasten the mainboard to the front cover.
7. Connect all the connectors to the mainboard.
8. Carry out all the cash register tests.
9. Reinstall the cash register covers (chapter 4.1).
4.9 Keys and keyboard replacement
Note:
When replacing the keyboard, the cash register must be switched off and the external adapter disconnected.
1. Pull the middle cover out and then separate the cash register front cover from the undercover (chapter 4.1).
2. Disconnect all the connectors from the cash register mainboard.
3. Separate the mainboard from the keyboard module.
4. Remove the screws to separate the keyboard board and the rubber keyboard from the front cover.
5. Reinstall a new rubber keyboard, keyboard board and FFC 16-pin cable.
6. Fasten the keyboard board to the front cover.
7. Fasten the mainboard to the keyboard module.
8. Connect all the connectors.
9. Carry out all the keyboard tests.
10. Reinstall the cash register covers (chapter 4.1).
