The CAM5000 Color CCTV Camera provides a
significant upgrade in performance in a smaller
package than the original CAM2010.
The CAM5000 features a miniature weather-tight
die-cast aluminum housing built to withstand the
harshest weather conditions. The camera can
rotate 360 degrees and pivot 90 degrees to
enable it to be mounted in virtually any position.
The flexible mounting bracket enables the dealer
to optimally adjust the viewing angle.
The camera's high-resolution, low lux 1/3" CCD
element provides clear images even in low light
conditions. Built-in automatic iris control ensures
an optimal picture on bright, sunny days without
"blooming" or "washouts". The fixed focal-length
lens has a horizontal viewing angle of 120
degrees with no "fish eye" distortion.

REMOTE
LOCATION
The CAM5000 includes a multi-purpose mount-
ing bracket. This bracket enables the CAM5000
to be securely attached to almost any mounting
surface.
NOTE:
Mounting hardware is included, but addi-
tional hardware may be required depending on
the desired mounting surface.
1. Use the appropriate hardware to securely
mount the CAM5000’s bracket to the desired
mounting surface.
2. Using the male RCA-to-female F adapter
included with the CAM5000, connect the
camera to your RG-6 or RG-59 coax cable.
3. Most installations will require the CAM5000
be powered from a remote location (i.e. the
main equipment location). To accomplish this:
a. Remove the power connector from the
power supply (included) and the
CAM5000 as shown in
Figure 1
(other
side).
b. Strip back the insulation on the red and
black camera power wires and terminate
them to the 18/2 wire you have run to the
camera location - be sure to maintain
proper polarity on CAM5000, the 18/2,
and the remotely located power supply
(the included power supply’s white striped
lead is POSITIVE.
NOTE:
DO NOT
remove the CAM5000’s yellow (video)
RCA jack connector!
4. Screw the camera chassis to the mounting
bracket and aim the camera for optimum
coverage.
NOTE:
The camera is in its proper
position when its Power and Video cable is
located in the upper-right when viewing the
camera from the rear. See
Figure 1
(other
side).
