3.12 STATE past switch ON HV/IS
The device has a mains switch. After the application of the supply voltage,
the device is placed in operation by switching on the mains switch.
After the mains switch is switched on, the built-in mains indicator H1 illu-
minates. The green indicator on the front panel is also briefly illuminated.
If the optional warning lamp set (chapter 7.2) is connected, its green in-
dicator also illuminates.
Devices with touchscreen display : After booting the operating system
the touchscreen menu appears, see chapter 3.10.
Remote control mode: A high signal is applied to pin 4 on X7. The device
is controlled using the digital interface (X7) in conjunction with the RS232
/Ethernet/USB interface.
Interface only operation: A low signal is applied to pin 4 on X7. The
device is controlled only via the RS232 or Ethernet interface.
Two starts mode: Two start signals are always necessary to apply the
high voltage. These can be: two start commands via the interface, or in
the „Remote mode“ a „digital“ start and a start command over the inter-
face (pay attention to sequence for commands). In the „Local mode“ (front
panel) the green Set button must be pressed twice.

start/stop voltage and ramp speeds and any other parameters as neces-
sary via the touch-screen display or interface (remote mode).
