13. MAINTENANCE
Repair work beyond normal maintenance can be performed only by qualified personnel
or the manufacturer’s representative.
Use only spareparts and accessories approved by the manufacturer.
Prior to any maintenance or repair work, switch off the compressor and disconnect it
from the mains (pull out the mains plug).
TO ENSURE THAT THE COMPRESSOR WORKS CORRECTLY, PERFORM THE FOLLOWING
MAINTENANCE TASKS AT REGULAR INTERVALS (CHAPTER 12).:
13.1 Condensate drain down
During transportation, it is possible that it could come to the creation of condensate in pressure tank due
to thermal differences. It is necessary to drain down the condensate at every installation. Proceed as
follows:
While compressor is switched on, increase air pressure in air chamber to max. pressure of 1 bar. If the
appliance is pressurized to higher pressure already, it is necessary to disconnect compressor from mains
and reduce this pressure to the value of max. 1 bar, for example by releasing air via any tool.
Canalize hose with sludging valve to a vessel prepared in advance and by opening release valve (1),
release condensate from a tank.
Wait till condensate is fully delivered out from pressure tank.
Close release valve (1) again.

Prior to the following checks, it is necessary to put aside the compressor case.
13.2 Control of safety valve
(Fig. 4)
When the compressor is operated for the first time, make sure that the safety valve is working properly.
Turn screw (4) of safety valve (1) several rotations to the left until the safety valve releases air. Let the
safety valve blow out for only a few seconds. Turn screw (1) to the right until it seats, closing the valve.
Risk of pressure increase when safety valve is damaged.
Safety valve must not be used to depressurize the air tank. It could damage the safety
valve function. The valve is set to the maximum allowed pressure, it is tested and
marked.
Safety valve setting must not be adjusted.
Risk of injury when compressed air is vented.
Protect your eyesight when checking the safety valve
– wear protective goggles.
