Sapphire Infusion Pump User Manual

Biocompatibility

All materials in components of the administration sets that are in the fluid pathway have
been tested for biocompatibility, and are in compliance with applicable international
standards ISO 10993-1 for biocompatibility.

Sterilization

Administration sets that are manufactured by Q Core for the Sapphire pump, are
sterilized with ethylene oxide (EO), according to the sterilization requirements of
ISO 11135.

Degree of Protection Against Ingress of Water and Dust

The Sapphire pump meets the IP24 splash/dust standard according to IEC 60601-1-11.
Protects from water which is sprayed at 10 L/min at a pressure of 80-100 kN/m

2

for

5 minutes at all angles, and protects from touch by objects greater than 12 millimeters
such as fingers.
