7.4.2 Spare parts and repairs
As a rule, you can perform some minor repairs and replace wear parts yourself. These include
for example the inspection, cleaning and replacement of air filters and spark plugs, as
described below.

Carry out only the work described here yourself.

If in doubt, consult a qualified specialist workshop.
¨
Use only original spare parts.

Only carry out the work described below when the genset is switched off and
has cooled down sufficiently.
7.4.2.1 Removing the housing cover
For some maintenance work it is necessary to remove one of the two side housing covers.
Both are secured by 2 screws and 4 locking tabs:
Opening the housing
¨
Undo the two cross-headed screws in the top corners of the housing cover.
¨
Pull the top edge of the cover slightly away
from the genset.
¨
Use a flat-headed screwdriver to release the
restraint of the side latching tabs.
¨
Tilt the cover far down to release the bottom
latching tabs.
¨
Remove the cover from the genset and keep it
in a clean place.

Closing the housing
¨
Proceed in reverse order to close the housing
cover:
– Place the bottom latching tabs against the
genset and tilt the cover upwards.
– Make sure that the latching tabs engage.
– Finally, tighten the two screws firmly.
