Turn the inlet elbow to the left (anticlockwise) to
disconnect it from the UV lamp mount.
Disconnect the lamp socket from the lamp mount.
Insert the UV lamp.
Screw the lamp socket to the lamp mount.
Finally, fit the lamp mount to the inlet elbow.
Filling in the filter media
Remove all filter media from the tank.
Fill the zeolite into the tank first.
Then place the Bioblocks on top of the zeolite.
Finally, insert the Biocell filter insert. Take care
not to cover the overflow (see figure 4).
Replace the cover together with the UV lamp to
close the tank.
5. Putting into operation
(see Figure 6)
Select a suitable place (near the pond!) to install the
system filter.
Use a well-fitting hose to connect the fountain pump
to the inlet reducer of the system filter (see figure 5).
Secure the connection with a hose clip. Fit a second
hose to the tank outlet and lay it so that it runs into
the pond. Ensure that the outlet hose runs at a slight
downward angle to prevent water from backing up in
the filter.
6. Maintenance and cleaning
Clean and rinse the Biocell filter insert with tap
water at least once a month; more frequent
cleaning may be required depending on the
condition of the pond.
Clean the Bioblocks twice a year in a bucket of
clean pond water. Do not use tap water!
Clean the UV lamp mount twice a year. If algae
growth in the pond increases, clean the quartz
tube in the lamp mount. The quartz tube can be
removed as shown in figure 7.
Replace the UV lamp after approx. 8000 hours of
operation.
Replace the zeolite every season.
