The troubleshooting process
Clearing the CMOS and power-up settings
Use the following procedure to clear the CMOS and power-up settings for the
Fiery X3eTY, as a final troubleshooting step before you decide to replace the
motherboard.

1.
Make sure that the Fiery X3eTY is powered off, and then remove the power cable from
the system.
2.
Access and open the Fiery X3eTY (see page 9).
3.
Remove the battery from the motherboard (see page 22).
Set aside the battery so that you can replace it later.
4.
Locate the jumper that is installed on the 3-pin jumper area JP1 on the motherboard.
JP1 is located between motherboard connectors PCI2 and PRI-IDE.
5.
Remove the jumper from the default position on JP1, and install it in reset position.
6.
Wait one full minute.
7.
Remove the jumper from the reset position on JP1, and install it back in default
position.
8.
Reinstall the battery.
9.
Reassemble the Fiery X3eTY (see page 34).
10.
Power on the Fiery X3eTY, and configure the date and time in Setup.
