The E-42B includes many features to help you manage printing, performance, and security.
Install and configure printer drivers
Before you can print from a client computer to the E-42B, you must first install a printer
driver on each client computer and then configure them to include E-42B and copier/printer
installed options.
After you install and configure printer drivers, you can print from any application on a client
computer to the E-42B.

Passwords
User passwords
To set passwords for users or groups of users, use Configure (see Configure Help).
Operating system password
The E-42B requires an operating system password, in this case a Windows password. To
ensure network security, it is recommended that you change this password periodically.

1 On the monitor, log on with Administrator privileges.
Use the Fiery Advanced Controller Interface or establish a remote connection to the E-42B
(see
2 Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
3 Click Change Password.
4 Enter the old and new password, and then confirm the new password.
5 Press Enter.
