When the harness is tightened 
correctly, reposition the 
shoulder pads on top of your 
baby’s shoulders.

The pinch test

1 . 

Attempt to squeeze the 
harness webbing between 
your fingers just in front 
of and below your baby’s 
shoulder. Pinch up and 
down on the harness, not 
side to side.

2 . 

The harness is secure if 
you are 

unable

 to pinch 

any harness between your 
fingers. Reposition the 
shoulder pads on top of 
your baby’s shoulders.

Note:

 

After you have pulled the slack out of the hip and torso 

portions of the harness, perform the pinch test to check if the 
harness is secure.
