Creating Titles

 

When you have modified a title, you can save it as a different title.

Go to the upper right of the Titler window and click the "Save As" button.

 

The present title is saved as a new title with the name "New XXXX" attached.

 

"XXXX" represents the appropriate numeral that is used.

After closing the Titler, you can change the name of a title in the Material palette.

Saving a Created Title Under a Different Name

Limits on the Number of Titles That Can Be Used in a Sequence

With the standard DV-7DL PRO, the number of titles that could be used in a 
sequence was limited to 60, regardless of whether they were text titles or titles using 
graphics or images. The DV-7DL PRO, you can keep placing titles until the title 
memory is full. You can use the following procedure to view the usage of the title 
memory.

To view the usage of the title memory, go to the Settings menu and select “Show Title 
Memory Status.” A window displaying memory usage appears.

You can keep using titles until usage reaches 100%.

Clicking the “Close” button in the window displaying usage makes the window 
disappear.

Titles that use only ordinary text or shapes (such as rectangles) take up very little 
memory, but titles that use graphics or photos shot with a digital camera consume 
extremely large amounts of memory.

When you want to use a photo or images in a sequence, we recommend capturing it 
as video material instead of using it in a title. For information on how to create video 
material from a still picture shot with a digital camera, refer to chapter 10,
