Safety instructions for the workplace

The EDER Log Splitter may only be used in sufficiently good light
conditions.

Before using the device the operating conditions should be checked.

The EDER Log Splitter must not be used if damage to the device or
to the hydraulic system and hoses has been detected.

If leakage is suspected, do not try to check it on the device and hoses
with bare hands. An oil jet escaping at high pressure can cause
serious injury.

Use appropriate tools for maintenance and setting up.

Safety and protective devices must not be modified or removed.

Existing obstacles in the work area must be removed before starting
work.

Do not interfere with the mechanics during operation.

If the device is not used during work, switch off the hydraulics and
leave the device in a safe position.

Watch out for log halves falling apart and secure the log against
rolling away.

Ensure that you are standing securely when working.

The EDER Log Splitter weighs 16 kg (without hoses). Pay attention
to your posture when working and take regular breaks.

The device must not be operated against the body, otherwise there
is a risk of pinching.

To reduce residual risks, handle the device carefully.

Behaviour in an emergency

If, for example, malfunctions or dangerous situations pose an immediate
risk of injury to persons or damage to the device:

Switch off the EDER Log Splitter.

Move away from the danger zone immediately.

Have the malfunctions eliminated by an authorised specialist dealer.
