DESCRIPTION & INSTALLATION:
These aluminum timing covers are stock replacement parts and will accept stock or
Edelbrock Victor Series water pumps. Part #4250 includes fuel pump mounting and oil dipstick tube bosses. Edelbrock Victor
Series water pump #8840 may be used if a reverse rotation pump is desired on an engine using a mechanical fuel pump. Part
#4251 is designed for reverse rotation water pumps and does not include fuel pump or dipstick tube bosses. All necessary
gaskets and a new crankshaft seal are included in this kit. The crankshaft seal must be installed into the cover prior to installing
the cover onto the engine. Use a soft mallet or a block of wood and a hammer to carefully tap the seal into place on the timing
cover. Install the timing cover as shown in the service manual for your particular application.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
A timing marker is NOT INCLUDED. Use the Ford timing markers listed below with the following
applications:

- Use Ford timing marker Part #C5ZZ-6029-A for 1965-1969 engines, and Ford Part #F1TZ-6023-A for 1969
and later engines.
Catalog #4251
- Use Ford timing marker Part #F1TZ-6023-A for all applications.
