7.3.4 Terminal Assignment of SIOX

Example of

a basic module with one SIOX extension module:

DANGER

Warning of dangerous electrical voltage! Danger to life - Danger of electric shock! BEFORE

connecting and disconnecting, it must be ensured that

no voltage

is present at all connections of the

controller.



ATTENTION

Danger of destruction of components! SIOX extension modules may only

be connected to each

other or the controller when no voltage is present! In the event of an Ethernet network cable with PoE
(Power over Ethernet) being used instead of the SIOX data cable (RJ45) damage can occur to
participating network devices!

Malfunction due to interference!

All supply lines from and to the controller (with the exception of the

230 V supply and signal lines) must be shielded! In general, it must be ensured that signal lines and
lines with mains voltage are routed in separate cable ducts.

SIOX SUPPLY - Power supply*:

Supply lines must have a cross-section of > 0.5 mm

. It is

recommended, for example, to use the cable type

LiYCY 4x0.75 mm

with 25 Ohm/km.

SIOX data cable*:

Always use CAT5 cables or better, the minimum bending radius (practical value:

bending radius = 4 times diameter) must be observed.


