5.6.8 Control Algorithm tG with Stage Combined Control
The gas cooler outlet temperature measured via an A/D converter is compared with the setpoint. The following
applies:
A speed setpoint, depending on the control error, is calculated using a PI control algorithm that is switched to
the speed controller via an analogue output (0-10 V). The fan regulation is performed using a fan that is
controlled by a speed controller. Other stages connected to the mains power supply can be switched on or off
individually.
Depending on the expansion stage of the controller, the following numbers of fan stages can be controlled:
Fan Control via Modbus : 11 fan stages
Fan control via relays, requiring one SIOX extension module: 3 fan stages
With fan combined control, the possible fan configuration, depending on the expansion stage, is accordingly
one fan less than with step control. This is due to the fact that the fan output after the last configured fan output

In the case of positive control error, the speed controller is enabled via the first capacity stage of the controller.
A speed setpoint, depending on the control error, is calculated by a PI control algorithm which is activated on
the speed controller via an analogue output (0-10 V). If the speed reaches its maximum value, a further
capacity stage is activated after a time delay.
The input signal for the first fan stage is reduced to the minimum speed. Fans which have been shut down via
the motor cut-out will be ignored by the controller.

Afterwards, the fan is disconnected from the speed controller and switched to mains power.
Power supply bridging is carried out by activating the controller fan stage
