5.6.3 Temperature Sensors for the Regulation

There are two Pt1000 temperature sensors for the regulation of the gas cooler outlet temperature that are
recorded in the measuring range of -50 °C to +50 °C

t

gk1

(terminals 31/32) and

t

gk2

(terminals 29/30)

It must be differentiated here where these are located in the refrigeration pack system and what these are used

for.

The control sensor for the gas cooler is t

gk2

. If this shows any measuring circuit error, t

gk1

is switched to.

Position of the gas cooler outlet sensor with gas cooler bypass valve

If the gas cooler of the refrigeration pack system can be bypassed using a gas cooler bypass valve (3-way
valve), the gas cooler temperature sensors t

gk1

and t

gk2

are positioned at different locations.

t

gk2

is located directly after the gas cooler

t

gk1

is located directly after the gas cooler bypass valve

See following diagram.

If the gas cooler bypass valve is not active or not present, both temperature sensors usually show the same
value. They are redundant.

Incorrect positioning of the two gas cooler outlet sensors can result in high impairments of the

regulation of the gas cooler outlet temperature

and

calculation of the HP setpoint

. Always pay attention

to the correct position of the two gas cooler outlet sensors when using the gas cooler bypass valve.


