gas post-injection is controlled via relay output 1 of the Digital Module. Use of the Digital Module relays can be
configured in menu 3-3.
Compressed gas cooler
The controller monitors the suction gas superheat to prevent wet operation. Too low suction gas superheat is
registered in the fault memory and transferred to an appropriate alarm destination according to priority
preselection. A compressed gas cooler can also be controlled via the terminals 3/4 on the controller. If the
superheat is too low, an LT compressed gas cooler (for cooling the LT compressed gas before entry to the NT
circuit) downstream from the LT compressors can be deactivated by the controller via this output.
The compressed gas cooler relay output is active while the specified minimum superheat is not undercut. The
relay output is deactivated if the superheat has undercut the "
Del.Min.OH
" setpoint. After undercutting
"
Del.Min.OH
", the compressed gas cooler is not activated again until the superheat has exceeded the value
"
Del.Min.OH
" plus the difference "
Dif.Superheat
" again. The following diagram is a graphic representation of the
compressed gas cooler relay output:
In the event of a fast unload, the signal is deactivated together with the last compressor. The parameters

used for controlling the compressed gas cooler can be reached using the menu 3-3.
Continuous control of a compressed gas cooler
With a continuous control of the compressed gas cooler, the superheat can be controlled even more precisely
in addition to the monitoring described above. This prevents the refrigerant from liquefying in the suction line.
For continuous control with a 0..10 V signal, a Modbus analogue module is required (see Belegung des
Modbus-Analogmoduls 0..10 V DC
The continuous control of the compressed gas cooler is carried out
according to the cylinder head temperature of the hottest LT compressor. The speed of the discharge gas
reheater is set with the parameters "Setp. t
ch
min" and "Setp. t
ch
max" from 0% to 100% (0..10 V):
If
all
LT compressors are
colder
than "Setp. t
ch
min", the compressed gas cooler is OFF = 0% (0 V).
If only
one
TC compressor is
hotter
than "Setp. t
ch
max", the compressed gas cooler is ON and runs at
100% (10 V).
Suction gas post-injection
The valve for suction gas post-injection regulates or influences the following two factors:
Hot gas temperature (equivalent to the cylinder head temperature)
Suction gas temperature or suction gas superheat
Requirements
The control is performed via the relay output 10 of the controller (terminals 3/4) or alternatively via relay output
1 of the Modbus relay module (see
Terminal assignment of the Modbus relay module 230 V AC
The hot gas temperature is measured at the Pt1000 input 9 (terminals 25/26).
The suction gas temperature is measured at the Pt1000 input 13 (terminals 33/34).
Attention:
Double assignment of relay output 10 with the compressed gas cooler function
(Desuperheater). No function is assigned to the relay output at the factory.
