5.7 Fan control
During cooling and defrosting, the fans (terminals 74/74) run continuously and can be stopped for an
adjustable timed via the parameter
(only with external toggle setpoint (via digital input 2,
Laufzeit Rollo
terminals D21/D22) from setpoint record 1 to setpoint record 2 (not the reverse)). This is necessary to
guarantee faultless lowering of the roller blind (e.g. for light OFF).
The fan relay operated inverted:
if the controller switches on the fan, the relay contact (73/74) is opened;
if the controller switches off the fan, the relay contact (73/74) is closed.
5.8 Frame heater
General
The frame heater (terminals 91/92 24 V DC / max. 50 mA) is used for heating window elements on the
refrigerated cases to prevent any misting of these elements due to condensation of water from the ambient air.
The following operating modes for the frame / pane heater can be selected in the case controller:
Fixed run time
Enthalpy-dependent run time
The required operating mode must always be set first. Additional operation-dependent parameters are
explained below.
Fixed run time
The synchronisation of the frame heater is performed according to an adjustable run time (0 .. 100%).
Enthalpy-dependent run time
For this operating mode, a pack controller in the E*LDS system equipped with a humidity sensor and a room
temperature sensor is required. The case controller then determines the optimum appropriate run time for the
heater at any time from the values of these two sensors. There are two parameters for this: the emergency run
time and the offset for the enthalpy-dependent frame heater.
The value entered for the parameter
(menu 2-5-2) increases by the run time determined by the
Enthalp. Offs.
case controller depending on room humidity and temperature. It is recommended to initially leave this value set
to 0. If problems are observed, e.g. misting of window elements, this value can then be corrected upwards.
Higher hearing capacity is then achieved.
If no values for room humidity and temperature are received from a pack controller, the case controller the
uses the value entered for Not-Einschaltdauer (0-100%) as run time.
Notes and limitations for the use of the enthalpy-dependent heating
At least one pack controller equipped with humidity and room temperature sensors must be available in the
store. If multiple pack controllers are equipped with these sensors, the case controller will select a pack
controller during a restart / first start and then only still use the values of this pack controller.
It is recommended to only equip one pack controller in a store with the humidity and room
temperature sensors. The humidity and room temperature sensors should be positioned reasonably
so that the provided values are representative for preferably all refrigeration points of the store.
For faultless operation, it is not allowed to connect only a room temperature sensor or only a humidity
sensor to a pack controller. The two sensors must always be present as a pair on a pack controller.
