Installation and Startup of Combi Gateway

CAN bus

Each Master gateway uses a CAN bus address from the range of the BMS controllers and is defined as follows:

S

Master gateway 1 uses the CAN bus address 122

S

Master gateway 2 uses the CAN bus address 123

S

Master gateway 3 uses the CAN bus address 124

S

Master gateway 4 uses the CAN bus address 125

The CAN bus participant information must be configured so that the Modbus-TCP-Master-Gateway software
module is shown correctly in the participant list of the E*LDS system.

A manual system restart is required to apply the changes of the configuration; see chapter 6.6.1.3.

Alarm

The communication between the Modbus-TCP-Master and the Modbus-TCP-Slave is performed using a net
work connection. An alarm is triggered if any failure at this level occurs.

Modbus-TCP-Slave-Gateway

The Modbus-TCP-Slave-Gateway software module is not enabled until activation with a valid activation code;
see chapter 6.6.1.3. Parameters such as TCP port, maximum number of clients, client inactive timeout and max
imum request time must be configured for correct functioning.

More detailed descriptions of the tasks and functions of this software module
are available in the separate ”Modbus-TCP-Slave-Gateway” API documentation.

The parameters to be set can be configured under the tab

Modbus-TCP-Slave-Gateway.
