How to Install the Auxiliary Drive Gear Assembly
Special Instructions
Before installing the auxiliary drive gear, the mainshaft
must be completely installed.
Special Tools
Typical service tools are needed
Large pair of snap ring pliers
Flanged-end driver and maul
To Install
1.
Position the auxiliary drive gear assembly on the
mainshaft.
2.
Use a flanged-end driver and maul to seat the
auxiliary drive gear bearing.
3.
Align the retainer ring capscrew holes with the
tapped holes.
4.
Apply Eaton/Fuller sealant #71205 or equivalent to
the retaining capscrews.
5.
Install the retaining capscrews, tighten to 23-30

·ft of torque.
6.
Install the auxiliary drive gear retaining snap ring
in the mainshaft snap ring groove.
