Troubleshooting Matrix

Cannot login
Lost password
Reset passwords and IP addresses using the

Incorrect IP address set at
PXG200E
USB drivers not installed properly
Install USB drivers according to procedure in
USB Driver Installation on page 155.
USB or Ethernet LAN cable
disconnected
Reseat cables
Data seems to freeze
when viewed on a web
browser or the browser
stops responding
Communications interrupted
Press CTRL and F5 simultaneously to reload the web
session.
Cannot access devices
connected to INCOM or
COM1 (Modbus RTU)
port
Incorrect wiring
Make sure devices are connected to the network
according to
Eaton Electrical Field Devices
Communication Wiring Specification
(TD 17513)
. Pay
particular attention to the polarity. Also see the
Loose connections
Check for loose connections and repair.
COM1 and INCOM
indicators are flashing
periodically
Normal operation
The indicator blinks Green when COM1 device(s) are
not responding. When COM1 devices are responding,
indicator blinks a Yellow / Red hue depending upon
the amount of signal traffic. No blinking when no
devices are connected.
COM1 and INCOM indi-
cators are NOT flashing
periodically
PXG200E is being rebooted
The
INCOM traffic indicator
and the COM1 traffic indi-
cator will flash Red, Green and Yellow / Green while
the unit boots. This is normal.
Internal PXG200E communications
locked up
Reboot the PXG200E by pressing the Hard Reset
Switch momentarily. During the rebooting process,
the COM1 and INCOM indicators will be solid green.
The
indicators should resume normal operation within
two to three minutes.
Cannot access PXG200E
via Modbus TCP client
Modbus TCP settings on PXG200E
are incorrect
Refer to the
Connecting to Modbus TCP Clients
Make sure that the “Enable” box is
checked and the port address matches the port
address of the Modbus TCP client. Consult your IT
department for help on setting these parameters.
