Communication card

 

 
Communication cards enable the UPS to communicate with different types of equipment in different network 
environments. The 9PX model is equipped with a smart card slot supporting the following communication 
cards:

 

• 

Network-MS card

 - Network-MS cards support SNMP and HTTP functions for load monitoring via a 

web browser interface and can be connected to the Ethernet. They can also be connected to an environment 
monitoring detector to collect information such as humidity, temperature, smoke alarms, as well as other 
safety information. 
• 

Modbus-MS card

 - In addition to network management, Modbus-MS cards also support the Modbus 

protocol. 
• 

Relay-MS cards

 - Relay-MS cards support separated dry contact (Form-C) output to display the UPS 

status: Mains Supply Fault, Low Battery Voltage, UPS Alarm/Normal, or Bypass Mode.

4.3  Eaton Intelligent Power Software suite 

 
Eaton Intelligent Power Manager can be downloaded from eaton.com/downloads. 
The software provides up-to-date graphs of UPS power data and energy flow.

 

It also provides a complete record of important power events and reminds you of important information about 
the UPS and power source.

 

In the event of a power failure and the 9PX UPS battery is low, the software will automatically turn off your 
computer system to protect your data.
