percussion
Percussion pads on your keyboard trigger
bass drum, snare, open hi-hat, closed hi-hat
and high tom voices.
Simply press the
[memory/perCussion]
button. “PER” appears on the display. The
keyboard plays the selected percussion voice
each time you press its corresponding pad.
You can record any of the percussion voices
played by the percussion pads. This allows
you to quickly select and play a percussion
voice from the keyboard.

note: All voice assignations are deleted when
the keyboard is switched off.
Follow the steps below to record and play
back a percussion track.
1. Press the
[voiCe]
button, and then enter
“00” on the numeric keypad.
2. Select the percussion voices by pressing
any of the 49 keys until you find the sounds
you want to record.
3. Hold down the percussion pad to which
you want to assign the voice and press the
corresponding key.

MiDi
1. Your keyboard features a MIDI interface
(Musical Instrument Digital Interface).
MIDI is the universal standard used to
send and receive playing data between
digital musical instruments.
2. With MIDI, you can play music
simultaneously on your keyboard and
another instrument, while only playing a
single instrument. You can record your
music in a sequencer, and benefit from
a wider range of sounds with a sound
module.
3. All the instruments that are compatible
with the MIDI standard feature a MIDI
OUT output and some are also equipped
with MIDI IN and a MIDI THRU connectors.
