Press or to highlight RRT Setting , then press
ENTER . If the program is broadcast with RRT5 rating
information, the information is downloaded
automatically and can be used for parental controls.

Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press
EXIT to close the menu.
Using closed captioning
Closed captions (CC or subtitles) are intended to provide
people who are hearing impaired with access to TV
programs. However, this feature is also useful for viewers
who are learning a new language, beginning to read, or in
a noisy environment. Text captions are displayed to
transcribe speech and often other relevant sounds.
Closed captioning availability and content depends on
the broadcaster and may vary across programs in a
channel.
Turning closed captioning on or off
To turn closed captioning on or off:

Press MENU . The on-screen menu opens with the
Picture menu displayed.

Press or to highlight Settings , then press . The
Settings menu opens.

Press or to highlight Closed Caption , then
press ENTER . The Settings-Closed Caption menu
opens.

Press or to highlight Caption Control , then
press or to select On (turns closed captioning
on), CC On Mute (turns closed captioning on when
the sound is muted), or Off (turns closed captioning
off ).

Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press
EXIT to close the menu.
Selecting the analog closed captioning
mode
To select the closed captioning mode:

Press MENU . The on-screen menu opens with the
Picture menu displayed.

Press or to highlight Settings , then press . The
Settings menu opens.
Note
If you want to clear the downloaded rating
information, select
Reset RRT . The rating information
is cleared. If rating information is broadcast by
another program, your TV downloads the new rating
information.
