Maintenance and Repair
Cleaning
Cleaning the Dynatron ibox
Clean the outer surface of the Dynatron ibox with a slightly damp or lightly
moistened cloth. Mild household cleaners work well on the frame, but do
not use cleaners on the display window. Do not spray solutions directly on
the device. First moisten the cloth and then wipe the device off. Solvents,
caustic solutions, and harsh or abrasive cleaners must never be used.
Cleaning the Battery Contacts
Battery contacts may be cleaned with a cotton swap lightly dampened
with isopropyl alcohol. Never use sandpaper or other abrasive material.
Cleaning the Electrode Cables
Periodically clean the electrode cables with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Gently wipe the cable dry. Do not use alcohol to clean the electrode
cables. Inspect electrode cables regularly and replace patient lead wires
after 6 months or as needed.
CAUTION
Rubbing alcohol will damage insulation and dramatically shorten the life
of the electrode cable.
