The DYNATRON D4800 has been tested to and meets AS/NZS 3749:2003 Part A provided that the vehicle is equipped with an
automatic immobiliser of manufactures origin and that the vehicles remote has "rolling code".
ARMING AND DISARMING
To arm the D4800, press the lock button on the remote control supplied by the vehicle manufacturer. Arming the system is
accompanied by flashes from the indicators (the number is dependant upon each manufacturer) and optionally two "chirps" from
the Dynatron Battery Backup siren. To disarm, press the unlock button on the factory remote control which is accompanied by a
single "chirp" (also optional). Both the indicator and siren confirmation from the D4800 can be deleted where the factory system
provides its own.
AUTO RE-ARMING
The D4800 will auto re -arm only in vehicles with an auto re -lock feature. Some vehicles will re -lock doors if the vehicle is not
entered for a given amount of time.
INTRUSION DETECTION
The D4800 is equipped with four zones of protection, doors, boot, bonnet, glass breakage & ignition. Each zone can be triggered a
maximum of three times after arming. When a zone is triggered, the siren and indicators will sound and flash for 30 seconds. Both
indicators and siren will reset for five seconds after each 30 -second trigger period before sounding due to subsequent triggers.
ENGINE IMMOBILISATION
The vehicle's manufacturer usually provides engine immobilization. The D4800 does provide another two independent circuits of
immobilization, however they are only connected at special request.
GLASS BREAKAGE PROTECTION
The 4600 is equipped with a sophisticated glass breakage detection unit. The system will only respond to the breaking of any glass
in the vehicle. To test the unit simply wind up all the windows and arm the D4800. Wait 30 seconds before rapping the driver's
side window with a metal object such as a coin. The siren and indicators will sound and flash. There should be no trigger, if you hit
the window or body of the vehicle with your hand. This eliminates all false alarms.
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT GLASSBREAK SENSORS
The Security of your car is important to us. With the wider use of aftermarket film window tints now being applied the efficiency of
your AS/NZS tested and approved Glassbreak Detector may be compromised. If you have or intend to have aftermarket film tints
applied please be aware that this may compromise the tuned
frequency response of your detector. This is especially true of
station wagon and larger people mover vehicles and where side windows are rubber mounted or pillar less. As the owner of the
vehicle it is important that you discuss any film tinting with Dynatron or your Dynatron installer. The detector can often be recalibrated
to compensate for a film tint, but you may be advised to pay for and fit an additional interior or movement sensor.
BATTERY BACKED -UP SIREN
The D4800 is provided with a siren that has it’s own power supply in the form of rechargeable batteries. These batteries are permanently
located inside the siren and are trickle charged from the cars charging system. If the wires are cut to the siren or if the battery
terminals are removed from the cars battery the battery backed up siren will sound until the batteries in the siren are exhausted.
The D4800 is provided with two small chrome and black keys that enable the user to turn the siren off at the siren proper. This
feature is often used by mechanics so it is a good idea to leave one siren key on your vehicle key set. Note that turning the siren off
will not turn the alarm/immobilizer off.
DIAGNOSTICS
Whenever the alarm system is triggered, the memory of t he module will be automatically updated with the number of the zone
responsible. The report will be displayed upon the next disarm command. Both the indicators and status LED will flash a number of
times. The table below describes the number for each zone.

Each zone will trigger a maximum of three times per arm cycle. Once a zone has sounded the siren three times it is ignored until the
next time the system is armed. At no time does the immobiliser disarm.
