Check the valve clearance on both valves with a feeler gauge

(1), adjust if necessary.

Loosen screw (3) on the rocker arm.

Adjust the screw (2), until the feeler gauge (1) can be

inserted and pulled out with a barely noticeable resistance

after the hexagon nut (3) has been tightened.

Install the valve cover with a new seal and tighten the screws

evenly.

After a short test run check the valve cover for leaks.

8.8.2 Changing engine oil and oil filter element

ating temperature.
