9.5 Engine control light
The flashing intervals occur only when the engine is at a standstill
and after an ignition switch (starter switch in position "0" and then
back in position "I").
Each flashing interval is repeated three times. There is a pause of
approx. 3 secondsin between.
The control unit saves each detected fault for two operating cycles
(start, run, stop).
If the fault than no longer occurs, it is deleted from the memory and
the corresponding flashing interval no longer occurs.
1. Evaluate and take note of the flashing interval.
2. If necessary, evaluate and take note of the further fault
codes.
3. Perform troubleshooting.
4. If necessary, contact our Customer Service.
5. After the troubleshooting, start and switch the engine off
twice.
6. Then set the starter switch to position "I" (ignition on) and
check whether the fault has been rectified (engine control
light remains off).

Air filter contaminated Clean the air filter, replace if
necessary.
Lack of cooling air Clean the cooling fins and the
cooling air intake openings.
Check air guide plates and
ducts for completeness and
good sealing.
Engine oil temperature
is too high.
The engine is shut
down if the engine oil
temperature continues
to rise.
Engine oil level too high Check the engine oil level;
drain off engine oil if necessary.
Lack of cooling air Clean the cooling fins and the
cooling air intake openings.
Check air guide plates and
ducts for completeness and
good sealing.
