1. Connect a USB adapter cable with a Mini-B connector to the
port provided on the Transmitter unit. Connect the other end
of the cable with a USB standard-A connector to the host
USB device (such as a PC).
2. Connect a USB adapter cable with a Mini-B connector to
the port provided on the Receiver unit. Connect the other
end of the cable with a USB standard-A connector to the
downstream USB device such as a monitor, keyboard, or
mouse.
Note: To use both a keyboard and a mouse, use a USB to PS/2
cable.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
If the system fails to display a signal, power OFF all devices and check that the
following connections are properly installed:
• The Transmitter unit must be connected to the Source. The Receiver
unit must be connected to the Display.
• Both the Transmitter and Receiver units must be powered using the
supplied AC Power Adapters and must be connected to a known
working AC power source. Confirm there is power to both devices.
• All three (3) strands of the fiber optic cable must be routed to the LC
optical port with the corresponding number on both the Transmitter and
Receiver units. For example, Fiber Strand #1 must be connected to
Optical Port 1 on both the Transmitter and Receiver units. This applies
to strands 2 and 3 as well.
Once all connections have been verified, power ON the monitor first, then any
intermediate equipment such as switchers, and finally the DVI signal source.
If the system still fails to display an image, check to ensure that the DVI signal
source is compatible with the display by making a direct connection between the
two so as to bypass the DVI-7335 DVI + HDCP Fiber Optic Extender. If there
is still no image, then there is a compatibility issue between the source and the
display that must be resolved.
