TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM
CAUSE
REMEDY
Oven does not operate (no function
at all)
Incoming power supply
Check main circuit breaker.
Verify rating/power of supply connection.
Verify that oven is properly connected to
supply.
Fuse failure
Check and replace defective fuse.
Oven does not operate (no
convection heat)
High limit thermostat activated or
Auxiliary thermostat damaged
Verify that manual reset of high limit
thermostat has been released.
If circuit is open while oven is under
temperature verify function of thermostat
and replace if necessary.
Otherwise, reset main thermal cutout switch
and determine root cause for activation (see
SSR).
Heating SSR not triggered
Verify trigger signal from control board.
Verify supply voltage across SSR.
If SSR is not switching despite signal and
supply are present, replace SSR.
Otherwise, determine root cause for
absence of either trigger signal (control) or
supply.
Failed or open fuse
Remove fuse and verify conductivity.
WARNING: DISCONNECT UNIT

Replace if necessary.
Oven overheats/heaters active
as soon as door is closed
Heating SSR permanently active
(shorted).
Replace shorted SSR.
Oven does not operate
(no or intermittent magnetrons)
Magnetrons damaged (permanently no
output)
Verify magnetron operation in service
screen.
WARNING: DISCHARGE HV
CAPACITORS BEFORE SERVICING HV
SYSTEM.
Measure magnetron leads and chassis.
Visibly inspect magnetron antenna for
damage.
Replace if necessary.
