Cleaning Oven Interior
CAUTION:
DO NOT impact or apply pressure to the
waveguide covers. Breaking will result in
a non-warranty service call.
1. Open the door and activate the Oven Cool Down
feature. Allow additional time after Cool Down
is complete for all oven surfaces to reach a
safe temperature. The oven may then be safely
disconnected from power.
2. Remove the oven rack. The rack can be washed
in the sink.
3. Wipe out any large food particles, crumbs and/or
spillage with a damp towel.
4. Spray the inside of the oven cavity and interior
door panel with Duke Oven Cleaner. DO NOT
spray cleaner directly on or through the mesh on
the top of the oven cavity or the door choke cover
material. For these surfaces, spray some cleaner
onto a cloth and wipe them to clean.
5. Allow cleaner to work on all surfaces for 5 minutes.
6. Wearing the proper protective equipment, clean
the oven door and interior cavity surfaces using a
nylon scrub pad or other non-metallic scrub brush.
7. Carefully rinse the internal surfaces with clean
warm water. DO NOT aggressively spray the cavity
interior. Wipe surfaces and repeat rinse until all
cleaner is removed.
8. Wipe dry with cloth or paper towel.
9. Allow the oven to air dry and replace the rack.
Cleaning Oven Exterior
• DO NOT use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• DO NOT use cleaners containing ammonia.
• DO NOT use a water pressure type cleaning system.
• DO NOT use Duke Oven Cleaner or Shield on the
exterior of the oven.
• Prevent any water leakage to the oven interior
component compartment.
1. Clean all exterior surfaces with a mild detergent and
warm water solution using a clean cloth or sponge.
2. Wipe out rear duct (cavity exhaust) as necessary.
Check for a build up of cooking vapors along the
discharge louvers in the back of the oven and wipe
out as necessary.
3. Wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Oven cleaning is complete and the oven is ready
for use.
Duke Oven Shield
Duke Oven Shield is specially formulated to reduce the
effort needed to clean the oven. It is NOT a cleaning agent
but acts as barrier between the oven walls and the grease
produced by cooking, making it easier to be removed.
To Use Duke Oven Shield:
1. Remove cooking rack.
2.
DO NOT
use Duke Oven Shield on the glass
waveguide covers on the sides of the cavity interior.
3. Spray a thin layer of Oven Guard on all interior surfaces
EXCEPT the top return air mesh and the door choke
cover material. Spray a clean cloth with the Oven
Shield and spread a thin coat on these areas.
4. Allow the coating to dry and form a protective barrier
for the oven.
5. Replace the cooking rack but
DO NOT
spray with
Oven Shield.
6. Switch the oven on and preheat to the Set
Temperature.
7. Oven Shield can be removed with water when
cleaning if the oven is not badly soiled.
8. Re-apply Duke Oven Shield after every cleaning.
