Waveguide

7. Remove the Waveguide Mounting Brackets.

8. Remove screws inside the cook cavity that secure
the Waveguide.

9. Use a sharp putty knife or box knife to remove as
much silicone as possible around the Waveguide
Mounting Brackets.
10. Use a slender tool to pry the Waveguide Mounting
Brackets away from the Waveguide, remove the
Brackets and discard them.

11. The suspect Waveguide can now be freely removed
through the back of the oven.
12. Remove ALL excess silicone from the surface to
which the Mounting Brackets fasten.
13. Remove all excess debris (silicone, insulation)
inside the Waveguide compartment and the floor
of the oven.
14. Install the replacement Waveguide noting how the
pins slide into the slotted opening. Once installed,
Waveguide should fit firmly with no movement.
15. Attach the Waveguide inside cook cavity first,
making sure it is centered within the opening.
16. Apply silicone gasket on the surface to which the
Mounting Brackets fasten.
17. Install NEW Waveguide Mounting Brackets. Do
not fully tighten the screws until all of them have
been threaded in. Tighten them evenly.
18. Re-apply silicone around perimeter of Waveguide
Mounting Brackets.
19. Allow sufficient time for the silicone to cure.
20. Reinstall the Magnetron.
21. Referring to the tags, reconnect the Magnetron
and Magnetron Thermal Switch wires.
22. Reinstall the Magnetron Cooling Fan assembly.
23. Referring to the tags, reconnect fan motor wires.
24. Reattach all panels and covers.
25. Restore the unit to its power source and ensure
that it is operating correctly.
26. Perform a Microwave Leakage test (as described
on page 32) to validate proper functionality.
Ensure there is a load in the
oven cavity before using the microwave system.
